product designFor class we had to create a prototype of a functional product made out of duct tape. My branding for everything I do is a panda, so naturally I did a panda. I wanted to do something creative but not too difficult; I decided to do a panda coin bank. Most people went with wallets, after all that's the first thing you think of. However, I think mine really says 'Amy.' So I went to Walmart to get my supplies. I decided to get a mason jar with a removable lid. I covered it in black and white duct tape. I cut out a slit in the lid to fit in coins. To make the letters on the back I used an X-acto knife. For the ears I cut pieces of pipe cleaners and had cotton balls in the center to make it look more realistic. For the tail I did the same thing just without pipe cleaners.

logoWe had to create a logo for class. I decided to make it my two nicknames,Panda and Musa. As you can see, the main object is a panda. However, it's now branded as mine with the objects on it's ears. Originally I was going to do fairy wings on a full-size panda, but that seemed like too much work. Instead I tried to do them on the ears, but it just looks like ribbons. So now it's a stylish panda.
